Our horses are handled daily. We keep them on pasture year around with other horses,
both mares and geldings. They learn to cross ditches, sagebrush, water and handle
themselves on the trails next to their mothers. We like to ride our mares with a foal on
them to teach the foal to cross any obstacle and work cows. We only raise foals on mares
that are nice mares to ride. We do not breed a mare if she is does not have a nice gait,
does not have a good disposition, or if she has faulty conformation. We hold our stud to
these same standards. He has such a good gait that his foal out of a quarter horse mare is
also gaited.

We start our horses using the round pen method. I do not "chase" the horses around,
rather I use more of Monty Roberts methods of join up. Our horses are not ridden until
they are fully confident in the round pen with many different situations. They will be
ponied and hauled around on many rides before they are asked to be ridden in those
situations. Our horses must be very versatile, as we ask them to do many things. They have
to ride alone out in the desert, or in a huge group in the mountains, or just with a buddy
down the sidewalk of town. They are familiar with dogs (we have 8 dogs of various sizes
that are not kennel pets either), donkeys and Pygmy goats. This gets them very used to
small creatures running here and there.

Buckskin Dun (dunskin) Colt - Not Available

Very SWEET and very GAITED purebred dun
foxtrotter stud colt. Out of Tazz and a dark
bay old foundation bred foxtrotter mare. This
colt is a very unique color and is very sweet.
He is exhibiting all kinds of gaits in the
pasture. He is straight and correct in his
conformation and is filling out more each day.
Will make an
excellent
riding gelding
with his good
looks and
breeding.
"Dazzle" - Not Available

Very Gaited, Very Sweet, and Very Smart!
Dazzle is a dunalino that also carries the grey
gene. She is conformationally very square and
correct. Has a beautiful foxtrot and wonderful
canter. Loves people, and is my best buddy.
Easy to catch and has had her front feet
trimmed. I have started some round pen and
ground training excersises with her. She ponies
behind another horse and has been on her first
camping trip! Very nice filly.

"Toy" - $1800 OBO

This awesome gelding is "Toy". He is going to
be 2 later this summer. He has excellent gait,
pretty conformation and a very cute head. He
likes people and is not a pushy horse, just
wants to be there beside you. We have been
working on his ground work, some round pen
things and picking up his feet. He is not going
to be a huge horse, around 15hh, just the right
size. He is out of our former stallion, Tazz,
and his mother is Royal, pictured on this page.
Both very nice riding horses, with very solid,
smooth foxtrots. His mind and body are ready
for someone to start training him for their
lifetime gelding!

"Royal" - $1500

"Royal" is 12 years old and has been ridden and
packed in the mountains and in the hills. An
excellent trail horse, but is scared of cattle. She
is very smooth, with a very nice, set, foxtrot.
She does not pace. She would be best for an
experienced to moderate rider and can be a
little “skittish” but has never bucked. She
responds very well to a confident, but quiet
hand. She stands a solid 14.3hh. She is very
refined and well-balanced. Pretty, expressive
face and uniform conformation. Has had three
foals, and has a short subtle heat cycle. Very
good mother, excellent milk and takes good care
of her baby. Her most recent foal is Toy, listed
on this page. Bloodlines include: Rambler’s
Traveler, Sun Dust E and Gold Man.

Tazz - $4000

It Must Be Dun (aka Tazz) is a beautiful
grullo (going grey) stallion out of the Gem
LadyDawn dun lines. He is a half brother to
DFE's Future Is A Dun. He also carries a
creamgene. He is an excellent choice for
someone wanting to breed for the dun gene,
or someone wanting to start breeding but
needs an experienced stallion. It isn't often
youfind a stallion of this quality available for
purchase.

Excellent stallion prospect
This colt as of fall 2009 is the only
registered fox trotter to have both the dun
gene and the champagne gene. He is called a
Classic Grullo! He is out of my former Grullo
stallion and a Classic champagne mare. So he
cannot have the agouti gene and may be
homozygous black and/or carry the cream
gene. But enough about color! What is even
better is his disposition! He LOVES people.
And the third best thing about him is his gait
and conformation. He is a very
well-porportioned baby and gaits a lot like
his father (very smooth, square foxtrot) and
there is a running walk ever so often in there
too! This colt should not go to a home where
he cannot pass on his qualities. He is the top
of the line in every important aspect
