Our horses are handled daily. We keep them on pasture year around with other horses,
both mares and geldings. They learn to cross ditches, sagebrush, water and handle
themselves on the trails next to their mothers. We like to ride our mares with a foal on
them to teach the foal to cross any obstacle and work cows. We only raise foals on mares
that are nice mares to ride. We do not breed a mare if she is does not have a nice gait,
does not have a good disposition, or if she has faulty conformation. We hold our stud to
these same standards. He has such a good gait that his foal out of a quarter horse mare is
also gaited.

We start our horses using the round pen method. I do not "chase" the horses around,
rather I use more of Monty Roberts methods of join up. Our horses are not ridden until
they are fully confident in the round pen with many different situations. They will be
ponied and hauled around on many rides before they are asked to be ridden in those
situations. Our horses must be very versatile, as we ask them to do many things. They have
to ride alone out in the desert, or in a huge group in the mountains, or just with a buddy
down the sidewalk of town. They are familiar with dogs (we have 8 dogs of various sizes
that are not kennel pets either), donkeys and Pygmy goats. This gets them very used to
small creatures running here and there.

It Must Be Dun (aka Tazz) is a beautiful grullo (going grey) stallion out of the Gem Lady
Dawn dun lines. He is a half brother to DFE's Future Is A Dun. He also carries a cream
gene. He is an excellent choice for someone wanting to breed for the dun gene, or
someone wanting to start breeding but needs an experienced stallion. It isn't often you
find a stallion of this quality available for purchase.
"Tazz" is a very well mannered stallion. He is used to
hand breeding and is very nice to handle and is easy on
the mares. He is 15.1hh, and is the best gaited horse I
have ever rode. He will preform the smoothest foxtrot all
day long. And if you get tired of that he will do the
smoothest canter that rivals any quarter horse. He is not
pacey and is not throwing pace into his foals, he will put
a nice foxtrot on a mare that does not. He also produces
colts with very nice minds and loving dispostions. We have
not had a foal yet that was hard to handle; all come into
the world loving people. This years foal crop produced 4
dun gene foals (a bay dun, a grullo, a dunalino and a
dunskin) and one solid black. He is throwing the creme
gene 50% of the time as well. His bloodlines include.:
Missouri Red Wing, Warrior's Gentleman Gem, Gold
Exchange, and Ace's Little Man.

"Bomber" - $600 OBO

She is just that, the "Bomb". Very nice filly,
loves attention and being in your pocket.
Whatever you are doing, she is there to help.
She has a very nice way of moving, very flowy
foxtrot. She has had some light round pen
work and leads and loads well. She is correct
and straight in her conformation, with a very
well put together body. Very feminine and
cute. Would make and excellent riding mare
and brood mare. She should mature at 15.1hh.
She is a grandaughter of Black Cloud C.
Others in her pedigree are: Pooles Blue Boy,
Super Star, and Morning Star.
"Jazzy" - $1000 OBO

She is a very nice 3 year old mare. I have
started her and she is doing very well. She has
had some outside rides and takes everything very
calmly. She is very well gaited, exhibiting all
kinds of movement. She is very loving and likes a
soft hand, very responsive. Jazzy will make an
excellent riding mare as well as brood mare. She
has only had her feet trimmed at this point, no
shoes yet. Jazzy is 15.3 and I think is done
growing. She could have a cream gene as well, as
when she was born her eyes were lighter grey.
She is very well put together and is straight and
correct in her conformation. Her bloodlines
include: Dizzy Dude, Zane's Dude, Snip's Black
Diamond, Black Diamond, and Gold Man.
"Bash" - $1800 OBO

Short for bashful. He is a very nice yearling.
Gentle and loves people. He loves to please, he
never wants to do anything wrong. Bash is very
gaited; in the pasture he will do a running
walk and foxtrot, as well as a very nice
canter. Bash is correct and straight, and has a
very nice proportioned conformation. He has
had some light round pen work and leads and
loads well. I expect him to reach 15.1hh. His
bloodlines include: Super Star, Morning Star,
Southern Gentleman, Red Zane, and Snip Lady.
Some very old time good foxtrotting horses.

"Toy" - $1200 OBO

This is "Toy". And he is just that; a fun, cute
little toy. He likes people and has a very nice
gait. He is possbily a smokey black as his eyes
were a light grey when he was born. He is out
of Tazz. His mother is a very sturdy built mare
that will only foxtrot, no pace in her. I expect
him to fill out and mature to around 15 hh. He
is still a stud colt, but will be gelded later this
summer. His pedigree includes: Dynamite R.,
Missouri Rambler, Dallas J, Zanes Diamond,
and Gold Man.
